Book Passage Bookstore Located in Corte Madera, California, across the Bay from San Francisco, this is one of the most important bookstores on the west coast. Features a full line of books and has a regular program of bestselling author presentations as well as lectures and workshops.

Inner Ocean Publishing

Publishers of personal and spiritual growth titles, women's issues, environmental issues, and political activism. Originally in Hawaii this excellent publisher was recently adopted by New World Library, of Novato, California. See the New World Library website for lists of Inner Ocean's titles.

Boulder Books

In Boulder, Colorado. If you are in Boulder, don't miss visiting this store. It's got it all! Voted the best bookstore in Boulder.

Copperfield's Books

A wonderful group of stores in Northern California. Mail order services available. Authors appearances and more! Located in Sebastopol, CA.

Powell's Books

Located in Portland Oregon, Powell's boasts they are the biggest independent bookstore in the country. New & used, mail order available, even ebooks can be gotten here.

Tattered Covers

In Denver, Colorado, this is the place to go for books. Also author events, mail order service and much more.

Transitions Bookplace

This is my favorite bookstore in the whole country. (However, I must confess I haven't visited every one.) Great store. Wonderful café. Author events, even a seminar center. Mail order, too!

Hampton Roads Publisher

These folks publish some great books in the same general subject area.

New World Library

Publishers of leading spirituality, healing, and creativity books. They publish Write From the Heart, too! Don't miss this one.

Beyond Words Publisher

Publishers of spiritual non-fiction and some wonderful children's books with upbeat, spiritual themes.

East West Bookshop

Great metaphysical bookstores in many locations around the country. Located in Mountain View, CA.

Earth-centered Spirituality (shamanism)

Starwae Inn

Starwae Inn Bed and Breakfast is an extraordinary place in Sonoma, California, in the midst of wine country. It's run by artist/author Janice Crow and John Curry. Short and long-term retreat accommodations available.
They sponsor creative workshops (I teach there) and offer a retreat that will definitely support your creativity. Check website for pictures, workshop schedules and lots more.
